James Harry Lanier, 71 of Lakeland passed away July 3, 2021.
Born in Lakeland, Florida, he was the son of the late Rufus and Margaret Lanier.
His survivors include his wife of 47 years, Catalina Mila Lanier; children, Rosemarie Abeleda (Romeo), Jennifer Albrecht (Lucas); siblings, Elizabeth Leon, Thomas Lanier (Susan); six grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.
James was a retired veteran of the US Navy, and also retired after 20 years as a mechanic/trainer with Delta Airlines. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and loved to watch old movies and play chess.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30pm, Friday, July 9, 2021, Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road, Lakeland.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11am, Saturday, July 10, 2021, St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Lakeland.
