I received this sad news from Sam Reyes, VP-4 77-78.
Dale passed away on 22 Feb 2023. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and sadly there will be no ceremonies.
LT Dale W. Pocklington USN (Ret) VP-4 76-79 & 88-91
Dale served as an Inflight Technician on Crew 2 during the 1977 deployment to Cubi Point, RP. He left the squadron in 1979 for a tour with the SEALS and returned in 1988 as an Ensign NFO. He served as a Navigator/Communications Officer on Crew 6 and had ground duties in the Human Services Office and later as Ordnance Officer. During the 1990-91 deployment to Diego Garcia, Dale flew with Crew 10. After leaving VP-4, Dale served a tour as Assistant Combat Direction Center Officer on USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63).
