Mountain and ocean views, fresh seafood, great coffee and better wine: What’s not to love about Seattle, the largest city in the Pacific Northwest? The sparkling waters of Elliott Bay, Lake Union and Lake Washington wrap around this city, where shimmering skyscrapers and forests of evergreens coexist. The VP-4 Association Reunion will provide a wonderful opportunity to get a firsthand look at this beautiful city and beyond, whether you begin with an “Early Bird” tour to the city of Victoria, B.C. via the Victoria Clipper’s high speed catamaran, take the a private tour of the Boeing P8 Production facility, or “quack” your way through Seattle by land and by sea on a WWII amphibious landing craft! There will be time too for connecting with your squadron buddies old and new, and their families. Come; share this city and enjoy a terrific 2013 reunion. Don’t be left out!!
Hotel Information
The reunion is officially scheduled from Wednesday, September 4th to Sunday, September 8th, 2013. You will be staying at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton, located at Seattle Airport Southcenter, 16500 Southcenter Parkway, Seattle, WA 98188. The room rate is $109.00, plus tax per night. For those of you who choose to arrive early or stay after the reunion ends, the same room rate will be available for three days prior, and three days after the reunion, based on availability. Your group may begin making their reservations now by calling the hotel reservation line at 800-222-8733 and providing your Group Code; VP4, or on the reunion website, www.MilitaryReunionPlanners.com/VP4 Hotel check-in is 3:00 p.m. Please do not expect to get into your room prior to this time. You may cancel your hotel room reservations up to 24 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Each guest is required to provide a credit card and one night’s room and tax deposit. Please note; the hotel reservation cutoff date is Wednesday, August 14th, 2013, thereafter; all reservations will be taken on a space available basis only.
Note: you MUST be current on your dues in order to attend the reunion.
Airport Transportation & Parking
If you are flying to the reunion, the DoubleTree offers scheduled free shuttle service to and from the SEA-TAC International Airport. The following are special instructions for airport shuttle use: IMPORTANT: take the small van with the GREEN number 3 in the window. If you get on the wrong shuttle you will be taken to the other DoutbleTree! Ask the driver if this shuttle is for SouthCenter DoubleTree. The shuttle runs 24hrs a day. Guests should call the hotel when they arrive at the waiting areas at Islands #1 or #3 only. This is located one floor above the baggage claim, cross over the sky bridge, and go down one floor to floor 3. Once there, call the hotel from the island. Return shuttles should be scheduled with the hotel front desk. For locations and driving directions to the hotel please call the hotel or visit their web site. For those of you driving, the hotel offers complimentary parking. Valet parking is not available.
